Shopping the Stores

Many of our merchants have organized their stores by categories, so that you can easily search through their areas to find exactly what you want.

Browsing and Viewing items

Once you have chosen an item that you are interested in, click on that item. A text box and image (if available) will pop up with a description of the item and a price. You may purchase this item or continue browsing.

Ordering an Item

Once you have located the item you would like to order, click on the ADD button. Clicking on ADD will add a product to your cart. At this point you can CHECKOUT or return to shop for more items. If you decide to CHECKOUT, a series of screens will ask you to enter your credit card, billing and shipping information.

Adding Additional Items to the Cart

You may view the items in your shopping cart at anytime by clicking on the LIST button. From the LIST screen you can add or remove items from your cart. To return to the store you were in, simply click on the "Return to Shopping". You can easily switch to another store to continue shopping, browse within the same store, or click on the LIST button to review your items selected.

Completing Your Order

When finished shopping click the CHECKOUT button. This final screen will allow you to enter your billing and shipping information and give you an Order Summary. Click on the "Complete this Order" button and a screen with a configuration number will be returned. For your records, please keep this number handy. It will help us and the merchant to locate your order if there are any questions.

FAQ for Businesses

Businesses interested in being part of JeffCity.org are sure to have some questions. Below we answer some of the most frequently asked questions:

Q: Is it expensive?

A: No. You won't believe how reasonable it is to market your products and services on the Internet. In fact, in most cases, marketing your products through JeffCity.org costs less than a small yellow page ad or a one time ad in a major newspaper. The cost is amazingly affordable especially when you consider the number of people you will reach.

Q: What advantages does JeffCity.org give the merchant?

A: JeffCity.org can give you high exposure on the Internet which is crucial for successful marketing. Your store is viewed by potentially thousands of people a day who come into the mall to browse through the different stores. JeffCity.org provides your business with an affordable method to reach more customers and sell your products over the Internet.

Q: How does it work?

A: It's simple. Just provide us with a copy of your product inventory, catalog, or advertising brochure on paper or in electronic format. We will then create a custom Web Site which will allow online shoppers to browse through your line of products and purchase them directly from your Web Site.

JeffCity.org uses world class designers who will work with you to design a custom Web Site that will meet your specific needs and desires. Your store will be listed on JeffCity.org and when a shopper clicks on your store's listing, they will be transferred into your web site.

If you already have a Web Site, a hyperlink can transfer shoppers from your store front to your server location.

Once inside your Web Site, you can provide information, prices, photos and graphics of your products or services. The shopper can be directed to contact you directly by phone, fax or E-mail to order products or request information, or your Web Site can be designed so the shopper can order directly from you on-line by completing an order form which is automatically sent to you by E-mail or by fax. Shoppers can pay by credit card using Netscape's encrypted credit card transfer protocol, or by using our own ACH system which deducts funds directly from the customer's checking account thus eliminating a need for the customer to write a check at a later date.

Q: Who will see my products?

A: Over 40 million people worldwide have access to the Internet and the number of users is growing at a current rate of over 1 million people per month. Generally, the population on the Internet is well-educated and financially affluent. Most own a computer, others have access to one. Statistically speaking the average Internet user is a white male, 35 years of age, married with 2 children, a college education, and an annual income of $70,000.00.

Also, Internet users are similar to most other shoppers these days; they're interested in convenience. Their time is limited, and the thought of fighting traffic, finding a parking space, then dealing with crowds in stores is not appealing to them. Many would prefer the ease of shopping and ordering directly from their computer screens.

Q: How do I get started?

A: Contact JeffCity.org. We can assist you with everything from designing your Web Site to placement on the Internet and the JeffCity.org site.  Why not send an E-mail to us right now?  Click Here!
